Is there an economical way to convert my chain link fence for my back yard into a wooden privacy fence
l have a home that l bought that has a chain link fence around the back
yard... is there an economically friendly way to do this?..... such as
applying wooden fence panels to existing chain-link fence posts?
You have many variables to consider. The height of the new
fence & the distance between the chain link fence posts. Since most chain
link fences are only 42'' tall you should not try to connect a 6 foot
privacy fence to the old posts. Then since wooden fence sections usually
come in 8' lengths if the chain link posts are spaced 8' or less apart you
could easily attach the new sections to the old posts. Simple u-bolts
around the old posts & attached to the new wood fence would work great.
get some bamboo fencing and attach it to the fence
This might work for you. My brother-in-law found a place to get
wood pallets. He used the wood from those to attach to the existing fence,
making a nice privacy fence. He was also able to use some of the would to
make a split-rail fence.
